Christopher Flory, Associate

Chris Flory is an associate at Gibbs Houston Pauw whose commitment to immigration law is rooted in a simple but deeply held conviction that every person deserves to live a dignified life, regardless of where they were born or what circumstances brought them here. He advocates for his clients boldly and with genuine empathy for the human story at the heart of every case.

For Chris, immigration law has always been about strengthening families and building a more humane global community. He understands that what brings most clients through the door is the hope of staying together, building a lasting future, and finding a sense of belonging. That understanding shapes everything about how he approaches his work.

Chris received his J.D. summa cum laude from Seattle University School of Law, where he was honored as a “Student Who Soars.” Real-world experience shaped his legal education. As a student attorney in Seattle University’s International Human Rights Clinic, he helped produce a published report on asylum pathways for refugees fleeing violence in Guerrero, Mexico. He was also a volunteer advocate for survivors of domestic violence and the Youth Education Law Collaborative and served as co-director of the SU chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project and an Access to Justice Institute First Year Fellow.

Chris is admitted to practice law in Washington State.

Outside the office, Chris is working on his Spanish and Mandarin to build connection with clients and family alike. He is also an avid skier and home gardener. Most importantly, he is a husband and the proud father of three children who are growing up far too fast. His own experience of family—how central it is, how fragile it can feel, how much it matters—deepens his appreciation for what is at stake for the families he represents every day.
