Gibbs Houston Pauw has represented hundreds of individuals in deportation and removal proceedings before the Seattle and Tacoma Immigration Courts, as well as on appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. We are experienced in representing individuals seeking bonds for release from the Northwest Detention Center, asylum and withholding of removal, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, as well as in defending clients accused of committing a crime, or who believe their rights were violated when they were apprehended by immigration officials. Our attorneys work closely with criminal defense attorneys when providing analysis of immigration consequences of clients’ convictions and seeking post-conviction relief.

We regularly develop and prepare waiver applications – demonstrating hardship to our client’s U.S. citizen and lawful permanent resident family members – for individuals who have criminal convictions, who unlawfully entered or remained in the United States, or who have committed fraud.
